When we were walking along Kawaramachi Street near my hotel, we unexpectedly discovered this restaurant. One of the staff members was standing outside and kindly explained the menu to us. He told us about two types of beef they serve – Kobe beef and Wagyu. His explanation was clear and friendly, which convinced us to step inside and give it a try. You have to BBQ your self that's experience is super fun ☺️ We decided to order both types of beef, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Japan. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The Wagyu A5 especially stood out. It simply melted in the mouth and had such a rich taste that words can hardly describe. The Kobe beef was also excellent, with a slightly different texture and flavor, making it an exciting comparison. Another highlight was the wasabi served with the beef. It was fresh and balanced perfectly with the richness of the meat, enhancing the overall experience The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff made us feel comfortable throughout our meal. If you are in Kyoto and want to enjoy high-quality beef, this is definitely a place I would recommend without hesitation. But I forgot to...
Read moreWe came to Taishitei Kiyamachi right after arriving in Kyoto, and it was such a perfect welcome to the city! The staff, especially the girls, were incredibly kind and their service was top-tier super attentive and friendly.
The food? Absolutely amazing. Every cut of raw meat was so fresh and flavorful, but what blew me away the most was the sauce I’ve never tasted anything like it in my life. This is my first year in Japan and this meal seriously raised my standards. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to enjoy yakiniku the same way again.
The vibe was great too but the location is super convenient, close to all the bars and nightlife, and they’re open until 1 AM which is perfect for a late dinner. Total bill for two people was around ¥10,000 and we left totally full (and totally happy). Highly,...
Read moreFound this little hidden gem restaurant by accident while strolling around karawamachi. My friend and I ate yakiniku set for two, a very delicious marinated meats. The hospitality of the staff especially Misaki San are very welcoming. Sometimes you don't need to go to fancy restaurant packed with people if the quality of service is poor, but this little corner restaurant, certainly beats the service of bigger restaurants can offer. The price of yakiniku set is inexpensive too, definitely would recommend this place to other travellers worldwide. And I will dine here again in my next spring visit to Kyoto. Thank you to Misaki San , very cute friendly staff and the chef too as well the other lovely boy. You...
