This restaurant is located on level 2, directly above the Korean BBQ restaurant (세마늘식당). As this is very popular amongst tourists, do expect long queues which snake down the stairwell back to level 1. Do take note that you are supposed to write your name on the clipboard located at the entrance of the restaurant. There is a pen somewhere on the stand. Just dig around and you will find it. Do NOT queue in vain. Your queue may be "cut" by a more observant tourist should you fail to do so.
Tonkatsu was excellent. I found the 160gm serving to be sufficient. To keep you occupied during the relatively long waiting time for the food to be prepared (~20 min), you will be presented with the sesame seed grinder / pounder. There is free flow of Miso Soup, Rice, and Cabbage. There are also 3 pots of sauces for you to choose from. I found the tonkatsu to be fried well with no heavy residual oiliness. Each tonkatsu set costs ¥15,000 on average.
Would have given 5 stars if not for the confusion surrounding the...
Read moreIf we have any guys who's love Tonkatsu Japanese cutlets in this area. This store will be my recommendation for every hunger. Because you can have rice, cabet and soup as much as you want. Tonkatsu was crispy and nice, but it's not really up on my alley so I gave them 3. Service was great, they served you with a smile but you need to have some Japanese skill to ask for more rice or soup. #They do not really speak English. The store is fine and fits in the small place, so I gave them 3. Overall this store is mostly for the guys who want a value and cheap meal at lunch or...
Read moreDreamy. I was recommended to this place by a friend, so I put it in our agenda and got us down here. Hands down, the best katsu. The breading is light and tender, the insides (whatever it is) is good. Unlimited sides and a neat make-your-own sauce. The service was phenomenal
It was so good, we altered our travel plans so we could come back a 2nd time. I was lucky to get the limited-to-1st-five pork and it was SO good
Do you want me to say something bad about this place? Sure. The miso is too strong for me. I didn’t have unlimited...
