Foreigners beware. Bar atmosphere had the potential to be great, but the service was worst I’ve had in all of Kyoto. Right when we walked in we communicated we wanted to shoot the airsoft guns, first bartender told us we order our drinks first and then can shoot. We order drinks, no limes available, fine. He brings another local patron into the shooting range. Okay maybe there is a wait. Order edamame, they come frozen. Let the other bartender know they are frozen, he stares at us blankly, nods and sits back down to smoke a cigarette and play on his phone with his back to us. The table has a dice wager game that I paid the first bartender ¥100 to play, he takes my money but when I win doesn’t know the rules. We were supposed to win a free airsoft game or/and a tequila shot. Also rolled snake eyes which should’ve been a free drink. Tell him we want the free airsoft game. Says many guns are broken. There are multiple 10 min vacancies on the shooting range while both bartenders sit on their phones back turned to us. Proceed to slowly bring other patrons in the bar to the range who flag them down after us. Sitting there an hour, don’t ask if we want another drink or explain anything about a line or how long we should expect to wait. Finally I ask if I can switch my dice game prize to the tequila shot, which I also had qualified for, just so we can leave. He brings two and charges me full price for it. Horrible service and bar management by two dismissive young boys. Bar had potential to be super cool but the experience was terrible from start to end for us. Maybe a locals only bar who knows. Haven’t seen anything like this in...
Read moreWhat an extraordinary gem we stumbled upon in Kyoto! This bar goes above and beyond to offer an unforgettable experience that combines the thrill of airsoft shooting with the camaraderie of a cozy bar setting.
The combination of a friendly atmosphere and the anticipation of trying my hand at airsoft shooting created a buzz of excitement.
The airsoft shooting experience was an absolute blast (pun intended). We were able to select from a wide range of models, team up with friends, and face off against virtual zombies or dinosaurs. It was like stepping into a video game, and the adrenaline rush was real. The attention to detail in the setup was commendable, making each shot feel like a victory.
The staff truly elevated the entire experience. Their genuine friendliness and eagerness to ensure we had a fantastic time were heartwarming. Their enthusiasm added an extra layer of positivity to the already vibrant atmosphere.
In a city known for its rich history and cultural attractions, this bar offers a refreshing and exhilarating departure. Whether you’re looking to channel your inner action hero, bond with friends over exciting challenges, or simply enjoy drinks in a unique setting, this place has it all. It’s a great time for anyone seeking adventure and...
Read moreBEWARE: Overpriced and underwhelming drinks, when we went to pay we were grossly overcharged for our already overpriced drinks. When I asked why it was so expensive the bartender told us there was a cover charge (there is no signage anywhere inside or out of the building stating there is a cover charge) bartender then proceeds to open menu and shows us the "cover charge fee" in the tiniest of letters on the inside of the menu. Service was terrible, we were blantently ignored during the duration of our visit, and atmosphere is just sad. After later doing some research I discovered the owner also owns several other bars in the area. If scamming tourist is how they get their money I would avoid their gimmicky establishments all together. (For reference I also posted a photo of their other establishments, cannot speak to their service or atmosphere but I wouldn't give my money to them in any case) I've never once been charged a "cover charge" in such a scummy way at a bar anywhere in Japan, if there was a cover charge it was CLEARLY stated upfront or I was verbally told before ordering or even...
