11/10!! A must try! Waited in a short line around 12/1230 for lunch ~20 minutes. In the meantime one of employees came out to hand us a menu and we ordered what we wanted. Food was ready as we sat down!
And boy was the food amazing! I had the Tonkatsu- amazing! Lightly breaded and so well fried. It was great also seeing on of the ladies cook right in front of us since we were seated at the counter. My bf had the Omakase with pork and he eats fast but omg did he finish his meal quicker than I've ever seen before. He said he would come back for breakfast for his dish - so safe to say we both had a 11/10 experience. We paid ~$13 USD for 2 meals - mind blowing!
The staff - and I think it's 3 people (at least what we saw) were so sweet, attentive and honestly so happy. Made us so happy and glad to be eating with them! Thank you!
If you can come try this place, don't miss out! We...
Read moreFood: we had hamburg steak, cream shrimp croquette and seasonal pork katsu (only from April to June).
I dont like pork because of the smell if the pig doesnt eat clean food. Also the fat from pork meat is usually thick and chewy and hard to digest. But the pork we had here is from SanEmon brand, it is a big brand in Japan for good pork and it is no joke. I had to admit the pork cutlet is Wow
Service: we just randomly walked around from hotel to the Train Museum. In the morning, this place is a bakery ( interesting). It hits the spot for the local vibe and authenticity. We didnt know this one has Michelin star. We didnt see the star at all on the wall :))))))
Tips: come as early as possible before each serving time ( dinner is from 5pm) because the queue starts quickly and tables are full quickly...
Read moreGreat little tonkatsu place hidden in the residential streets around the station. We came across it while looking for a lunch place close to our hotel which was only a block away.
There was a line out the door at 1pm but we decided to wait, as we were craving good tonkatsu. There were about six people in front of us and we waited about 15 minutes. The staff did provide us with menus while we waited and let us place the order already, so that the food would be on the table by the time that a spot opened up.
The tonkatsu was definitely great. It comes with some coleslaw and a bit of sauce. You can order rice on the side or just take a set. They also have beers and coke in case you don't just want water.
I'm coming back to the area in about a month from now and I'll probably come back here for a...
