Stayed here for a week. Like what the other reviews mentioned, this place extremely clean and well-kept. It is also very quiet. There is free WiFi, there's a fridge, a microwave and an electric kettle to boil water. The rooms have an air conditioning unit and a heater. Body soap and shampoo are provided. There are bath towels and slippers to use inside the house. I saw that there were even free adaptors laid out at a shelf beside the toilet.
Ryoji-san is very quick to respond and he is very helpful if you have any questions. He sends helpful tips too. The Jidai Matsuri was held during the weekend I was here and he sent me the link and told me the date.
The location is also good. It's about 10minutes to Kyoto Station and there are quite a few convenient stores nearby. If you walk in the opposite direction of Kyoto Station, there's a park, the Kyoto Aquarium and another train stop about 10 minutes away.
