When we went to dine today, after being seated and preparing to order, the server asked us to either move or stand up. Since we don’t understand Japanese, we immediately complied and stood up, assuming the staff would lead us to a new seat. However, that didn’t happen, and there were no available seats left in the restaurant. The server simply left us standing in the aisle and did not offer us any further explanation or assistance, until we eventually left on our own.
It seems that your establishment may prioritize seating for regular customers, or perhaps we were treated this way because we’re foreigners.
