We were really excited to visit the place as we read some good reviews. Once we got there the bar was not even in 1/3 full and we got the table straight away. We read the bar’s rules, which we were fine with. We ordered our drinks and fairly enjoyed them. They weren’t WOW, a small twist on the classic cocktails. Proper.
My friend had a fresh, easy to drink cocktails, while I was having something stronger. She finished her cocktail faster than me and then was asked if she wants to order another one. She politely said no, and that we will go home after we done. The staff asked her if we want a bill then - which was fine with us to pay straight away. However, I still had a half of my drink left. We paid, and I was enjoying couple more sips of my drink. I wasn’t even finished when we were asked to leave because “there are people at the door waiting for our table”. There were plenty of tables available and when we left the place no one was waiting outside for the table… What was interesting is that if we had another drink - there wouldn’t be an issue. Just to be specific we were still following all the rules set by there bar (e.g. one cocktail per hour per person).
Since we sat down till we left, it was exactly 28 minutes (!!!). I would say it’s not long, considering you are paying fair bit for a table charge and that you want to enjoy the drinks rather than scull them.
This ruins entire experience, which could have been absolutely enjoyable if not the service. We saw couple comments back on Google review from the bar, complaining about customers, but I can assure we were easy to deal with and super quiet entire time being there, as we were just really tired after sightseeing and just wanted to have a drink before going to rest.
There is definitely many more bars around with a great service, personable and delicious cocktails with good price where no one is asking you to leave the bar half way through your drink.
Edit: Since I cannot reply to the Bible Club response please see it here - as mentioned you didn’t even follow your one hour rule, as I mentioned earlier we were there exactly 28 minutes. I took a photo on the entrance and when we were leaving. Sad you can’t even own your...
Read moreAn interesting place close to Dotenbori, the interior design is quite comfortable but it feels like it's supposed to be more quiet and sadly it's quite loud with a lot of people talking with loud voices.
The table charge was quite expensive, 800 yen per person, if it was 800 for a table it would have been a lot more fair. Why would it be so much just to sit down when the drinks themselves are already over 1500 yen each.
The drink I ordered was a moscow mule and it was okay, tasted very low on alcohol and a bit too spicy sadly.
Probably would only recommend this place if you haven't seen similar interior design before.
Edit: The response from the bar didn't really sit right with me so I felt like I had to add this. I knew that the price for going here was 800 yen per person when sitting down, it is explained clearly and even says on a piece of paper you receive when you sit down. This does however not stop it from being way too high of a price per person when the drinks are as expensive as they are. If you're asking for such a high price to just sit down you'd expect a higher level of service and atmosphere.
I also don't really appreciate that the bar owner/staff responded to my review by pointing out that you can "easily look it up in advance if you have the skills to write this review" it feels very unprofessional and a bit insulting to be honest.
Overall I'm a bit disappointed since I had an overall good time here but this has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth to the point where I almost want to lower my grade. It's a...
Read moreThe house rule says “1 drink per hour minimum,” but I got my drink at around 10:15 PM and was kicked out by the bartender at 10:59 PM, lol. Hard to say whether this was sexism or racism, but either way, it’s disrespectful to a paying customer, lol Of course, I’m guessing the bar would argue it was because there was a waiting line outside. But still, it hadn’t even been a full hour—I was already being asked to leave before the “maximum one hour” mark. I was typing out a review in the hallway when a bartender followed me out and asked what was wrong. I told him, “The house rule says one hour, but I was kicked out less than an hour after getting my drink.” He just turned around and walked away.
Then, even after I stepped outside the bar, another bartender came out after me. I’m not sure whether that was supposed to be “checking on a customer” or more like “intimidating a customer.”What I really don’t understand is why is there so much hostility in this city, or maybe just this bar, toward paying solo female...
