Chuuka Soba Franken — Restaurant in Osaka

You get a large amount of food for the price in the set, and for a small amount of additional yen you get a hefty increase in size from M to L.

I'm more of a noodles guy, but the fried rice here absolutely blew me away and made me wish I got the large fried rice. The miso ramen I had left something to be desired in terms of it's broth, which was seasoned but not anything to note about.

Service was great by American standards, had a gentlemen helping us decide our food for about 5 minutes outside the restaurant as my dad was with me and he is very picky in his old age. He recommended us away from certain things which were too salty and towards items we described that better fit ehat we were looking for.

I will say, I saw nothing of the ice cream ramen from the other reviews, so it seems they downsized their menu a bit. Keep an eye out for the updated menu in the pictures. I did not snap a pic at the time of me eating or writing...

I admit I was lulled in by the Dorito-themed dish. I love Doritos. I had to try it. It was served in a Cheese Doritos bag cut on one side to make it like a bowl. Noodles in a Doritos bag with cilantro, avocado, ground beef and lime, and of course covered in Cheese Doritos. Uh.. pinch me? It was incredible on many levels. It worked somehow. I won't say things like 'to die for'. But it's worth trying, and honestly worth eating again. The waiter recommended with Tobacco. I blindly followed his advice. This is key. The dish is otherwise quite mild, and I like things spicy or intense often (especially noodle dishes).

The noodles were really high quality. Othewise, the novelty of this one dish is the a big reason I am giving the restaurant high scores. Also the the name and interior deco: Franken, as in Frankenstein. Like the dish. A crazy mix of ingredients, but very cool.

久しぶりのフラン軒です。

本日のランチはラーメンと決まっていた。 前夜、というか深夜のBS-TBSで関東のラーメン店にいくつか取り上げていた。

どれもこれも美味しそう(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) 最後の店、 サユリンゴが訪問しバクバク食べていた。

「明日のランチはラーメンだ❣️」

そりゃそうなるよね〜 と言うわけで1年ぶりとなるフラン軒

中華そばと焼きめしのセットを食べる気満々で来た。

しかーし、 なんと言うことだろう❣️

そんなPOPを目にしたら心変わりするよねー 私は誘惑に極めて弱いのだ。

と言うことで、850円の中華そばとご飯のセット

スタッフ曰く、 「かつての醤油ラーメンとは違い塩ラーメンに近い」

なるほど! そう言われると醤油ラーメンぽくないスープ、 しかし塩ラーメンとも違う。 とてもオイリーでコクがある 麺はリングイネに似た平打ちストレート モチモチで美味い。

途中でイリコ入りの酢をトッピングし味変〜 おぉ、甘く香る魚介風味も悪くないぞ。

固形物を食べ終えた後はご飯を丼にダイブ 即席リゾット完成〜❤️
