Consumer beware!!!
My partner and I had 1 red eye beer each (more like a tomato juice) that set us back 2200 yen!!!.
Entering the premises I asked if they would take card - "indeed yes". At no stage did staff mention / point out that there was a 400 yen cover charge per person.
Upon asking for the cheque and discovering the 800 yen impost I challenged the bill. The cashier simply swung the display on the cash register and pointed to a sticker that stated in English the cover charge 400 yen per person. Firstly the cover charge was not pointed out to us, secondly it was inconspicuously displayed and thirdly what if you spoke neither Japanese or English?
