Starbucks Coffee - LINKS UMEDA 2F — Restaurant in Osaka

Really beautiful location with a lovely view of the streets of the traffic heart of umeda.

Too bad I am going to give this place 1 star for staff randomly targeting foreigners? My partner and I ordered drinks at 4:41 pm (time on the receipt). We sat down upstairs, and my partner started working on her laptop. At around 5:10pm pm a staff comes up to my partner and says to her, "Please cooperate with the time." (in japanese), in other words, please hurry and get out. My parents looks at the staff and was like, we've only been here for 30 minutes." "Oh... oh only 30 minutes?" "So how long can we stay here then?" "Maybe around 1 hour?"

Keep in mind the staff who told us this never talked to anyone else. There were other people sitting around us that have been here longer and never got spoken to. Other people who also have laptops/books out. Our guess is they saw my partner typing english on her laptop.

My partner's drink was still half full, and we are being told to hurry and go somewhere else.

I am actually ok with Starbucks having a time limit, especially at busy locations. There is another starbucks in umeda, which they give customers different color tags so they can keep track of how long they have been there. I am not ok when there is no clear sign that they enforce a time limit. That they target random customers without knowing for sure how long they have been at their shop.

Beautiful location, but we can't recommend this kind of service.

a rather nice and spacious starbucks right in the city centre with some interesting retail items, and of course the local city starbuck cards, an essential for any starbuck card collectors. the food and coffee are standard starbucks, nothing special, no food items specific to japan or osaka unfortunately. there is not much of a view looking out to neighbouring buildings. overall, a basic starbucks with good service, the staff here are really friendly and...

It’s very crowded due to its place but I could still find a place to sit down. There is tablets outside inside and second floor. Food was good , coffee is as usually. Staff was really nice and helpful. Some of the tables were dirty and had empty cups on them, someone came and cleaned later, it’s not the staff’s fault tho it’s the customer’s fault...
