A Japanese staff member who picks out numbers and helps us wait. A male staff member wearing a black t-shirt and a red t-shirt is very unkind. We guide you very rudely. I know it's natural not to wait in front of the store, but we guide you in with very rude shouts. We stand in the way and shout, "You know what?", and say, "You two guys are looking at me, and I ate a very unpleasant meal because of the two guys, and I couldn't even eat properly. And we were told to go in our turn and order from where we ordered, and they told us not to stand behind even though we were in the store. Shouldn't we tell them where to first place an order? I don't know what the hell they were complaining about. We looked at them and looked at them as if they were offended and hit the door hard. We didn't do anything unpleasant to the staff. We waited in line according to the instructions and entered in order. I don't know what's wrong. I won't visit again. We will take strong action against our managers in this branch. We have visited other branch stores many times, but we have never been treated like this before. If you want a pleasant meal, I recommend visiting...
Read moreMy wife and I were walking towards the City Hall rose garden and decided to have a ramen lunch before the lunch crowd. We searched for a high rated one nearby and this place poped up.
It's a vending machine ramen place with just one basic version - spicy pork sauce with char shau. You get seated in little individual booths, the kind that discourages chatting.
You fill up the usual form specifying how you want your noodles done, the amount of spice, garlic, type of onion, etc. There's a pen provided and the recommended options are indicated on the form. You press a button and hand the form together with your ticket from the vending machine.
I ordered the full set, which includes an onsen egg, additional chat shau, black fungus and seaweed. The egg comes first so you can deshell it. The plate of additions comes together with the noodles. There's a screen in front that's then closed for you to eat in peace.
The ramen is the thin kind and medium chewy. Tastes great and good for slurping 🤣. Soup stock is hot but not too hot. Char shau thinly sliced and with a slight amount of fat. Overall, well balanced and I'll be happy to come...
Read moreFranchise Ramen store, I was actually surprised with the quality. It was much better than a expected a franchise to be. It appears franchises in Japanese are able to maintain much of their quality. This ramen store has a slight difference. You pay for a ramen at the vending machine and then when you are seated there is an ordering menu variations for the ramen, ranging from how much chilli, onions, softness of noodles and richness of stock. Once you fill in the details just press the buzzer and the chef will look at your order and make it to your desired standard. There is a cover so you do not have to see the chef at all, so its quite good for the people that don't like to be pressured by the staff. I have been to a couple of the Ichiran in Japan and quality is quite similar so its...
