Good food, interesting yakitori selection with great taste. Limited English menu which we need to transcribe to the Japanese order chit.
Mixed reaction on the service. Came the day before at 9.30pm for a drink and was simply turned away by the chef at the door, even though their stated closing hour is 11.30pm. We did notice that there is a queuing list and it's full so we plan to try again the next day.
The next day we drop by at 6pm when there is only one name in the queue list, so we jot down our names on queue no 5. We returned at 8pm and the queue list was full. We claimed that we were queue no 5 but the same chef also turned us away saying he's fully booked. We clarified to the staff that we put down our names. She helpfully relayed our message to the chef, who said that some of the dish are running out, and finally we got a seat. The same staff also helped us with the English menu and patiently served us the drinks and food.
The atmosphere is rowdy with locals and it seems very popular with a lot of regulars (they chatted with staff member and the chef). Compliments on the food, and I get that year-end busy period might be very stressful, but I wish they could improve on their friendliness to...
Read moreVisited this place based on previous google reviews and also because it is close to our accommodation. Less than 5min walk from Ebisucho station or 15-20min walk from Dontonbori. Food was sooo good! They have an English menu (roughly translated) and the staff are very friendly and speak some English. Sat along the bar area. It was great to watch them cook right in front of you.
Beef and chicken skewers are a must! The marinade is super tasty with a bit of charred bits and just the right amount of salt seasoning. Pickled veggies were a good side dish to compliment the meat. Fried chicken, chicken&rice bowl and grilled rice ball soup were also delicious! Couldn’t fault any of the food really.
Forgot to take a photo of the beef skewers and fried chicken before eating them (we were hungry from a long day out). Tried to order more but they were sold out. We had entered the restaurant around 10pm.
Spent around ¥4,000 for 2 people (incl, 1 x beer) and left feeling very satisfied. Will be coming back to try other menu items. First Yakitori experience in Japan and it did...

The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, and the food everything was spot on. I never had such a great experience with Yakitori until I came here.
The food was so good that I came on two separate days and different times. In the afternoon getting a seat was easy, there were only a few patrons at the time and the staff were super friendly. We chatted and got great recommendations on where to go and what to do.
In the evening is when it gets busy, we were lucky enough to get a seat but even with the high pace the quality did not change. The chefs make the dishes at such a fast and precise rate that every dish gets the attention they deserve.
I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite in the afternoon or for a nice winding down...
