If you’re looking to do sake tasting in Osaka, look no further!! I’ve been here twice on 2 separate trips to Osaka because it’s so awesome.
The bar is located on the second floor and might be slightly confusing to find- but just take the stairs up one floor and you’ll see it.
Naoto is a very friendly and passionate host, and he will recommend you the perfect sake based on your preferences. He brings in sake from all over Japan and rotates the options regularly, so every visit at the bar is a new surprise. Sweet, cloudy, sour, dry- he pretty much has any variant you can think of! We honestly loved every single sake that Naoto recommended, and even discovered some new types of sake that we’re now looking to hunt down. Btw make sure you try some lactic acid sakes- never knew about them and it tasted incredible - deceptively tasty but high alcohol content hahaha.
Prices for food and drinks are extremely reasonable. Seats are limited, so it might be good to make an advance reservation especially during peak periods.
Will return every time I come to Osaka, and recommending it to everyone I know for sure. Thank you Naoto for the awesome time 🙌🏻
TLDR; just come here you...
Read moreI don't know where to start. We were looking for a Sakè Bar where to discover a little bit more about sakè but we found place I will miss. Naoto-san (and her wife too!) is a wonderful person, very friendly and helpful but professional and always polite. We came back to the bar every night we were in Osaka, because we liked the atmosphere so much. Not only Naoto-San knows a lot about sakè and has a nice variety to taste, but he has a wonderful Menù to have dinner too! It's only in Japanese but Naoto-San will explain everything to your delight. The cooking was absolutely special: I loved the ginger pork, the sashimi was wonderful, the salad was a masterpiece. Honor mention to the cheese plate, with the BabyBel in it! Loved it. OISHII!!! We had wonderful conversations about traveling and Japan culture and Sakè of course and I wish to come back to Shiki bar again in the future, or to meet...
Read moreSake Bar Shiki is a hidden treasure for sake lovers. I was warmly welcomed by the owner, who, despite his limited English, made a genuine effort to guide me through his selection of sake. His passion and knowledge truly stood out as he recommended a few exceptional sakes that perfectly suited my taste.
The pairings made the experience even better. We ordered edamame and cheese, and they turned out to be the perfect complements. The combination brought out new flavors in the sake, adding depth and complexity to each sip.
The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, making it feel like a true Japanese sake bar. It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy good conversation, and savor the unique flavors of Japan. Sake Bar Shiki is a must-visit for anyone wanting a memorable sake experience. Highly...
