Ten-carat〜Osaka Tempra〜 — Restaurant in Osaka

One star reflects my extreme disappointment. Over the past few years I came to visit Japan once a year. This is the first time the reviews did not correspond to my actual experience. This is the first time that I found 2 prices on the menu and the higher price in bracket is the price I had to pay. This is the first time I experienced a mandatory fried egg appetizer (actually it is in the dish and not an appetizer) surcharge. The reviews mention friendly staff. Yes as in all small or fancy restaurants in Japan, staff are always friendly. Staff of this restaurant were no different and after they served me the food, I was essentially left unattended. The reviews also mention it is a small shop. It is indeed a small one with no ambience. With regards to the food quality, I'd say so so. The shrimp was either not fresh or over fried. The fish was tasteless. Only the pumpkin was above average. I paid about 3900 yen for a tempura set! Similar set in other small shops probably charge less than one half. In summary, overrating and overpricing are my feedback. For 3900 yen I could have enjoyed a more delicious meal in a much better...

Absolutely loved my experience at this tempura restaurant! The food was incredibly fresh and crispy—each bite of the shrimp and vegetable tempura was packed with flavor and perfectly fried. What made the meal even more enjoyable was the outstanding service. A staff member named Mr. Zhu from China went above and beyond—he was attentive, polite, and made sure everything was just right. We were looking specifically for waygu tempura and walked to this place. We were greeted by a sweet, smiling face who showed us a menu quickly. We ordered a ton of a la carte items and I cannot stress this enough - everything was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. So freakin' good. Very nice staff. We sat right down, maybe it was the time if the evening or that it was a Tuesday, if that matters in Osaka. In any case it was fabulously light and tasty. I even had a beer which I normally never have but it paied so well with them tempura. Just come try...
