Good Italian restaurant in the Kitahama neighbourhood. Food is cooked by the only chef; an Italian who has lived in Japan for 11 years. Although the kitchen is very small, the chef is able to churn out good authentic and flavourful Italian food, which has the home cooked taste to it. I enjoyed the Margherita pizza the most. It was well baked, and the crust was crispy with just the right level of chewiness. My wife enjoyed the ajillo with broccoli and shrimp in cream sauce very much. We sat at the counter as table seats at level 2 were full. We were sitting literally next to the kitchen and were able to see the chef at work. He chatted with us even though he was busy as the restaurant was full, telling us his culinary experiences and about living in Japan. He does his craft with great pride and is happy when he sees customers enjoying his food. The restaurant serves dinner only, so do make a reservation to avoid being...
Read moreThis place was the best of all places in Japan! We ate in tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto & Osaka - out of everywhere this place had the best food, best people and best atmosphere. Really really happy we found this place. It made my night coming here. Honestly, I will never forget the staff who made us feel at home. I wish I could keep coming here but sadly must leave Osaka tomorrow. Whoever lives or visits Osaka YOU HAVE 2 COME EAT HERE! Its more than just a restaurant its a very special place. I could go on and on about how happy this place made me.. I know I was just a passer - by, but I'd like 2 consider these people who work here my friends. Do yourself a favor and come here. Can't go wrong with any of the food and their liquor selection is great. I got the honor to write on their wall too! I will remember you all and chef Flo until my last days. Thank you so much domo arigato gozaimasu and grazzi..... -...
Read moreWe chanced upon this place looking at places that are open late in Kitahama. Such a great decision to come here.
We were first greeted by this inviting building on the corner. And when you get in, the vibe is so welcoming. Usei, the manager was very charming and graciously conversed with us. Chef Flo has so much energy. He is excited to talk about the food and the stories behind it, right from making the pizza dough from scratch or talking about how the large tuna was caught during fishing.
He was kind enough to make me a Veg Pizza (off the menu) and recommended some good wines to go with it. We had a lovely time here. We will highly recommend this place if you are in the Kitahama area. We lucked out since it was a Monday. Turns out there is a queue as the weekend gets close.
Check it out. You will leave with great memories.
Thank you Flo and Usei for this...
