Ate here for dinner on a Sunday at 8pm. Ordered the udon in curry with pork cutlets for ¥1680 and the tempura with udon in bath for the same price.
The noodles were too overcooked and basically a sticky mess in the curry sauce. The nice thing is that you can select the size portion of noodles at no extra charge. 2 servings/balls is already massive for a male. I would recommend either 1 or 1.5 size.
The noodles were also too soft in the tempura udon bath. The tempura itself was a little soggy but tasted good.
Ambience is excellent. You sit on the floor dining although there are normal tables on the first floor.
There were quite a lot of people at the time we went and I think it might have overwhelmed them. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked.
Ordering is thru a tablet and there is some English on the menu although the actual prompts are in Japanese.
Overall, the environment was great but the food was mediocre. Would probably not recommend or...

Udons were acceptable in terms of taste, but too basic, like it tastes exactly like the name of the dish (spicy pollack/cream etc). There seems to be nothing done to enhance/blend the flavors. Texture-wise, udons are on the softer side, but the menu had informed customers of this feature of the noodles, so it’s up to personal taste if we like our udons firm/soft.
Customer service was almost nonexistent. Nobody was around 95% of the times. In need for a spoon/tissue or whatsoever, there’s nobody to turn to. And when we arrived we told them we’re a group of 6. They let us to break into a group of 2+4. But as soon as we got seated, a table next to us was freed, but they refused to put us together, though it’s not busy at all(430pm) and nothing had...
Read moreOh, what an absolute delight it was to experience the "best" service ever in Osaka! This restaurant is practically rolling out the red carpet for foreigners—oh wait, just kidding, they definitely don’t. We were treated to a luxurious 20-minute wait for a single cup of tea, while the Japanese customers who sauntered in after us were munching on their food like it was a five-star buffet. And how charming it was to see other foreigners, who arrived before us, receiving the same "prompt" treatment. What a hilarious comedy show this was! Can't imagine why we'd ever want to set foot in this treasure of a...
