Uofuku — Restaurant in Osaka

One of my favorite food stops at Kuromon market. We arrived at a good time just before the lunch time crowd started. So we got seated immediately and got to eat one of the best grilled oysters we ever had.

It was so good that we literally ordered another serving after we finished the first one.

We were seated next to the shucking station and it was mesmerizing watching the owner shuck oysters like it was nothing. Even got to chat with him a little and he was a pretty nice guy.

English is not the first language for the staff working at the stall. So sometimes they might come across a bit rude when trying to speak in English. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional at all.

I’d still recommend visiting Uofuku for the fresh oysters. It might take a little bit of time for them to grill the oysters. So it’s...

Super tourist overpriced uni. VERY RUDE OWNER

I think the Uni tasted middle grade.. can easily find better uni for cheaper price else where.

But it is opened fresh right in front of your eyes.

First the owner came and gave us cut eyes. Then wife came and told us to leave. They coming back and checking to see if I was gone.

Lady handling the orders was so rude to us. I think she was especially rude because she got caught trying to scam us. Be careful when you eat here. Make sure to know exactly what bills you give to this lady. We ordered a shellfish for 1000 yen and I paid with a 5000 yen bill. The lady took it and didnt give me my change for a while. I had to flag her down and ask her for my change in which she tried to act as if she didnt understand. When she finally gave in she tossed me my changed and from then on she kept muttering things under her breath in Japanese every time she looked at us. Not a great experience at all.
