Tl;dr get only Gyukatsu here. This is the only dish I felt was worth its price here. The rest weren't worth it at all for me. I got the sukiyaki and we tried the beef steak, but they cannot compare to the gyukatsu. The sukiyaki was just okay and there was barely any soup given. The meat was of good quality though being soft and easy to eat. The beef steak, I didn't like it at all and it had a grainy texture to it. Avoid ordering this one. The gyukatsu was great though with you personally being able to control how much to cook the beef in the crispy coating it has. It is great with rice and was really delicious.

Sushi and Sashimi are common cuisine in Otaru. If you want to try other food, Wagyu is a good choice. Kurosawa provides beef from Japan. Their beef is half cooked with a layer of flour and kept hot on a small metal plate. Beef is soft and tasty. A set will follow with rice and soup and cabbage. I would rather like their Wagyu Sukiyaki set. There are about 5 to 6 pieces of beef, tofu, vegetables and noodle in a boiling bowl. You dip the beef into egg liquid before taking it. You are served with rice and noodles Rice, cabbage and egg can be refilled.

Staff was so rude that I nearly stood up and left. No one attend to me when I walked in the shop, they literally walked pass me 5 times without speaking anything. No menu was given after sat down, when I asked for the menu only partial menu was given to me. No water was given when everyone else does get one. I've been given a tray of dipping sauce for half hour, no food was served. No matter how the food is, I am absolutely not happy about my dining experience

Food was nice. Service okay up until chinese group of 20 people come and they become hectic and unmanageable. We order extra hotate but they miss it and we wait for 20 minute and remain them many time and still miss it. With so many people inside order bbq, the exhaust system was so bad ! Room full of smoke. Can't stand to stay to long and must cancel the hotate. A bit disappointed. But overall food are good.

The beef served was oxidised. Sukiyaki set was 12,000 yen for 6 slices of oxidised Hokkaido beef. It’s definitely super overpriced and dissatisfying for such quality of meat. We ordered A5 wagyu sirloin for beef katsu, which is not too crazily overpriced compared to sukiyaki… but you will expect fresher meat with this price. As shown in picture, you could tell the brownish colour of the oxidised “premium beef”
