Some people has called 3rd burger an step up from freshness burger. To me that's too simplistic. Oknits burgers not philosophy, but you're reading this, probably because you like burgers, right.
This is burgers in Japan and that is a different affair from West. Why? Where as western burgers are dressd up with strong flavored condominiums; ketchup mayo pickles cheddar chees, thousand island sauses under different names, choose your poison, Japanese burgers can appear a bit sparse in that department, I'd say flavors are traditional classic.
So with my opinion on this firmly established we can venture on to rate this. Whereas freshness patties are close to Mos Burger, 3rd burgers patty are more like a genuine slob of ground beef. You get the full beef flavor, not the hambagu oniony flavour of Fresh or Mos.
Now 3rd burger pride themselves with the bun being the genuine brioche item. Is it? It is ok, better than a lot of other buns out there, but not as good as Shak shack, or In N Out Burger of the east, as I like to call them. But since Shake Shack is in Tokyo that's our water mark for bun.
So all in all. It's a good burger, it could be pushed, I missed the pickles and as usual in Japan, you gotta ask for the ketchup, and then you get 1bag. Don't even think about the mayo... As for the fries. No one beats Micky D's, no one. But these are good, better than freshness.
So if you want a good Japanese burger, I recommend you 3rd Burger, for a beef flavour patty. It taste genuine. I'll be back, but probably also bring some mayo...

Burger patties are tiny, heated from frozen and are less tasty than Lotteria or Mos Burger. You're basically paying for a seat here and it seems like most customers are there to study or work on laptops.... I guess Wifi is worth more than decent food served quickly.
For the price, you're better off with McDonald's or Mos Burger. This place was a giant...

The bun can be made with whole grain bread, the meat is thick and satisfying, and the avocado is generously served.
My first visit was at their Toranomon location, and this time I tried Shinjuku for my second experience — both were excellent.
They also offer different options such as rice plates, not just burgers.
If you’ve never been, I highly recommend trying it at least once and seeing...
