ASAKUSA BAR SMOKED KOTOBUKI (バルスモーク寿燻工房) delivers an outstanding dining experience for anyone who appreciates creative Japanese cuisine with a smoky twist. The food here is truly excellent—every dish is beautifully presented and packed with flavor. Standouts include the perfectly smoked meats, the fresh seafood topped with roe, and a fantastic cheese platter that pairs well with the drinks. The assortment of appetizers is both inventive and delicious, and the attention to detail on each plate is impressive.

The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, with a welcoming vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations.

One area for improvement is the "smoking beer" (Smoked Ale – Walnut), which, at 1300 yen, feels overpriced and underwhelming compared to the high standard set by the food. For a bar that specializes in smoked flavors, I would recommend the chef consider serving the beer with a real smoke presentation in the glass—this would elevate the experience and make the price...

It’s an unskipable place in Asakusa. It’s tiny and not very fancy inside, but it’s a real gastonomic restaurant, handled by a chef formed in France. The cuisine is refined with a lot of smokey flavours. The loin pork steak was better than a lot of Wagyu meat I tasted in Japan. And from a french person, the ratatouille is as good as the one my grandmother makes. We had a lovely time and we recommend anybody who wants a good meal to come by. We spent 110.000 ¥ for 2 persons, 3 course-meals,...

Every dish was incredible and handmade by a singular chef. The food was the best we had in Japan and probably the best meal of my life. It was by chance we stumbled into this place but I’m so glad we did. The oyster in particular and the seafood risotto were unforgettable. My friend who’s a vegetarian loved her ratatouille and we both rave about this meal to anyone who asked about our trip. Do yourself a favour and make sure to come try the food here. Thank you so much...
