I was really disappointed with this place. My husband and I are on our honeymoon, and today we were traditionally dressed in kimono, and out having a lovely time. We decided to stop here for a bite to eat. The staff were cold and avoided us as much as possible. The food was lovely, but when we got the bill, we found that they'd charged us about 600¥ more than they should have. Since we didn't order anything extra, or make any special requests, I'm forced to assume this was because we're westerners and they figured they could get away with it. I've heard of that happening, but it still sucks when you experience it. I'd love to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just a mistake, but seeing as the bill was hand written in Japanese and not itemized, I sort of doubt it.

More than anything, we were really sad. We were having a really nice day. We'd had a short cultural lesson at an awesome shop, we looked adorable in our traditional dress, and we were just having fun. We had a pumpkin cheese cake which was delicious, the service was amazing (not sure why the other reviewers are saying that they are not friendly) - and finally the owner also brought down their cat to introduce it to us!! And it was the most adorable cat I have seen - calm and you could just pick it up and pet it anywhere!
