Doras, the enigmatic cognac bar hidden behind an unassuming Indigo Blue door, is a clandestine world of refined indulgence waiting to be discovered. When you first seek it out, you’ll likely be lost, but that elusive door, bathed in a dim light, is your portal to an exceptional experience. As the owner welcomes you, his passion for this intimate space he’s meticulously designed becomes evident.
Inside, the air is imbued with the rich aroma of tobacco, setting the mood for a journey into the world of cognac. Even if cognac isn’t your usual drink of choice, don’t be quick to dismiss it. The owner’s expertise shines as he crafts cocktails that marry cognac with milk and rum, creating a velvety, sweet, and enticing concoction. And here’s the twist – the bartender, despite having the means to retire, remains devoted to his craft. When asked why, he simply states, “I am a bartender; it’s what I do, and it’s what I’ll continue to do.”
For those who appreciate whiskey and don’t mind a touch of tobacco in the air, Doras is a hidden gem that beckons you to savor the unique blend of flavors and stories that make it more than just a bar – it’s an experience worth seeking out...
