Not a bad spot for brunch. We got the avocado toast, the BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato avocado), and the chili cheese fries. The bread was really good, as this is what this place is known for. But the avocado toast was more like avocado bread in that it was barely toasted at all - a crispier bread would have been better. The honey on the avocado toast was also a bit unnecessary in my opinion. The salad that came along with the sandwich was a nice touch. And the chili cheese fries were good, but they could have used some chili on top (it was only on the bottom) or a bit more cheese. Overall this place wasn’t bad but it was pretty expensive for the quality so I’m not sure I’d come back, besides to buy some bread. Edit the second time I went: I don’t understand why they don’t toast the bread lol. Like avocado toast should be… toasted but they serve all bread untoasted. We ordered bread with some sides, my friend got an English muffin thinking it would come out cut in half and toasted but they just put it on a plate and served it uncut and untoasted. We made makeshift sandwiches out of what we ordered, but it would make more sense for them to just have sandwiches on the menu. I got a boiled egg and it was over cooked. The salad and spinach were really tasty, and the croissant was fantastic. The interior of this place is great but I’ve been disappointed twice so I don’t think...
Read moreThe food looks good, the atmosphere and staffs are all very nice but there is something missing in the taste of everything we tried here (salad, cuban sandwich, croissant, lemonade...). For example the croissant has very good texture but no flavorful smell of butter; The salad is a mix of lots of vegetables but dressing tastes like just oil. It feels the same with when you borrowed a recipe from someone but were not really understanding the secrets. *Not only me but my bf and the couple in front of us said the same thing. Lots of good things they have: Right next to Asakusa park but not facing the crowded street Lots of choice for their customers, you can even combine different menus to make your own plate Different types of seats and 2nd floor as a lounge Bakery on 3rd floor (which made me quite hyped....) Staffs are so nice, even when I asked for small things like a slice of lemon cause the salad didn't taste much Just one more step for the food to be improved and this place will surely become my (and everyone else's) favorite to visit for a brunch at...
