A good hotel - could have been excellent but there are a few negatives

We stayed for 6 nights - booked direct on the website by becoming a member and getting a discount. Paid upon check in - 6 nights for a triple room was about US$ 105 a night, very good deal for Tokyo standard

Room size was big for 3 with enough space to keep luggage inside the room. Bathroom was small but fine. There were 2 air-conditioning units inside room! We used only 1. Bed was fine, Wifi worked well, and TV has Netflix youtube etc which was fantastic!

Free coffee machine at the lobby. Also a microwave available behind reception, so just give them your bento boxes and they will heat it up for you.

Laundry machine on 1st floor.

Reception staff friendly - Housekeeping boys on 8th floor friendly. But housekeeping ladies were NOT.

Coming to some major negatives - this hotel does not offer the luggage forwarding service. Major drawback because it's a most required service in Japan. They will receive your bags, but you have to go to Yamato yourself to send it to your next hotel. Very inconvenient, and note - the Yamato in Ekimise mall nearby does not open until 10 am.

Room negatives - daily water not given. But we request the housekeeping and the boy gave it to us. Window is opaque so you cannot see outside. Also window opens only 2 inches. So you still cannot see outside!

Fridge - is this a JOKE?? It's 3 inches deep, I kid you not. A can of coke cannot fit in, not stand. What kind of fridge is this?? Absolutely ridiculous

Location of airport line - Asakusa metro - goes direct to both airport but the metro station is a good 400 - 500 m walk, and this particular station entrance does not have an escalator or elevator. So be prepared to drag your bags through lots of stairs. And remember, the hotel does not have luggage forwarding

Other than these negatives, it was a good hotel for the price, but these negatives really need to be fixed.

And put in a new...

My family and I had an amazing stay. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful, they always assisted us as best they could whenever we had questions about their amenities or Tokyo in general since it was our first time in Japan. Staff at the reception could speak English, Japanese, and Thai. The lobby always felt warm and welcoming.

Rooms are extremely spacious for Tokyo standards and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was standard Tokyo size but had complete amenities. Other amenities are available for grabs in the lobby as well. Free coffee and tea too, which were much appreciated during colder snow days! Wifi was fast and stable even though our room was on the 10th floor.

We really appreciated how there’s quite a lot of umbrellas available to borrow during rainy/snowy days, and we were able to leave our luggage before and after checking in.

Location is top notch as it’s right across Senso-ji and a quick walk away from the Ginza line. Direct access to Narita is also available through the Asakusa line. We never had any issues getting around. The area itself is charming- a good mixture of culture and modern Japan. You’ll see lots of tourists and locals wearing traditional attire. Area is full of different shops, restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores so you’ll never run out of choices.

It was a perfect 7-day stay and I will...

Rating: 5 stars|Very new hotel. They just opened last January 16, 2024. We stayed 5 nights. Location is very nice. Less than 200m from the nearest exit of Asakusa Sta. Sensoji temple is less than 100m. Daily konbini is a few steps away. |Amenities are found at the lobby. Unlimited coffee and tea as well. Toiletries are complete- toothbrush, comb, razor, cotton buds, shower cap, bath salt, hair tie, pajamas. You can request to change towels as needed. Although, they only clean your room after the 4th night. We just put our trash out daily by our door and by the time we get back, it is already clean. |We got the Family tatami room. A very spacious 25sqm with 2 double beds and a tatami mat. There is a small table so you could eat your snacks there. The room was indeed very spacious because we could open all our 3 large luggages at the same time and still have space to walk around. |The bathroom has a japanese toilet that is heated and has a bidet. Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body wash are provided in the rooms. After a very tiring day, a hot bath with their bath salts is very nice.|Will definitely stay here again. Room has combination Air conditioner and heater. Perfect for whatever season you go to Tokyo.||Make sure you join the HOP Inn Membership so you could avail of additional...

Great location since it’s near Tokyo Sky Tree and Sensoji Temple is just a few minutes walk. The hotel is pretty new as just opened abt a year ago. There is a coin operated laundry room with free ice and paper cups for use, and a drinks vending machine. Friendly staffs, especially the Thai national (didn’t catch her name) who served us during our check in. Room is a bit small but clean and new. Proper amenities like smart TV, hair dryer and hot water pot. The downside is the room cleaning service on every 3rd night only and bottled water only provided on 1st night. Oh, there’s free coffee at the lobby. All in all, a pleasant stay for us.
