Probably one of the worst dining experiences in our stay in Japan so far. We just missed closing time for the restaurant we were looking for but stumbled across this one. When we entered, the owner clearly knew that we were foreigners and barely looked at us and asked the server to give us a table. My daughter had a smoothie that was just about finished and the owner immediately came to us and said that she was not allowed to drink it, which was fine. After ordering our meals, the server said that we had to buy drinks which again was surprising but we obliged. The meal was average at best. Our seafood linguine had shrimp that had an awkward texture. The chicken dinner that I ordered was almost ¥2700 and it was literally one chicken leg!! my daughter accidentally spilt some pasta onto the table, and the owner immediately rolled his eyes. I literally thought he was going to yell at us. Finally, the bill came and it was almost ¥ 10,000. There was no English description on the bill so I asked what the ¥900 charge was - the server said it was a sitting fee which I had never heard of in any of the restaurants that we had been to. I would absolutely not recommend. Clearly this restaurant stays afloat because of locals. Just an awful...
Read moreOn a search for a cozy spot for a late dinner with my partner, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Initially, we were drawn in by the ambiance, but what awaited us inside was nothing short of shocking. As we entered, we noticed few empty tables, which made us hopeful for a pleasant dining experience. However, our hopes were swiftly dashed as we were approached by a staff member—possibly the owner—who seemed to have an intimidating presence. From the very start, the vibes felt off. When I politely inquired about a table, the response was appalling. Instead of a simple no, we were met with a scowl and an exaggerated, chopping motion of his hand, signaling for us to “get out.” It left us both feeling utterly disgusted and unwelcome. If foreigners—or anyone for that matter—aren’t welcome here, a prominent sign outside would have been appreciated. The rudeness and hostility we encountered should not be tolerated in any dining...
Read moreMe and my wife we decided to stop for dinner, and because we were with our 3 years old kid, my wife ask to the waiter if there room for us. The restaurant was basically empty only two tables. The person who attend us, start to say we don't have dishes for kids, after we don't have plates and cutlery for kids. So we understand that we were not welcome and we walked away. Just a simple suggestion. If the kids are not allowed, just say it. A rule is a rule. We would understand. But using this kind of excuse you show a lack of competence, and was not really kind at all. Now I will not return even if I am alone and for sure I will not raccomend to...
