First time posting review because I had a terrible experience here. Guy in the suit most probably the owner, first treated us with good hospitality till we started ordering. Initially, he was introducing his menu, exaggerating about how good his mangos and curry is. When we started ordering, since we do not have the preference of drinking sweet beverages, we told the waiter we wanted a oolong tea. Upon hearing this, the waiter hesitated and talked to the owner, he owner came back with a totally different attitude saying we did not reserve the table which we did and started collecting the menus (trying to kick us out or something). We then pulled out our phone and showed him the reservation, after which he talked to us in a rude manner asking us what we wanted to drink. (If you are watching this just so you know, you don't decide what your customers order). We then ordered the curry and nan which was slightly above average nothing special in my opinion (Its basically the same with other Indian restaurant I have tried in Tokyo). The only thing different from other Indian restaurant is the interior design. Apart from that, there is nothing special. Lastly, he gave us a free service which you can only get if you ordered their Indian drinks. The free service seems to be some sort of Indian tea that is supposedly famous in India, I don't want to be rude to the Indian Community, but the tea that I tasted FROM THAT SHOP, literally had the same taste of Lipton red tea which u can buy from the supermarket lmao. Overall: Food - 3/5 Acceptable Customer Service 1/5 Trash My opinion:...
Read moreI was so shocked by this restaurant that the bad memory may stay with me for years. From now on, I’ll always check Google reviews before dining anywhere.
At first, the man in white—whether the manager, owner, or boss—seemed polite, greeting us with phrases like “ladies first.” But within minutes, his mask dropped. He rudely ordered us, and other customers, to get up and move seats. I also noticed him quickly pushing people out as soon as they finished their meals.
The staff were kind, but I saw that same manager yelling so harshly at a young waitress that she ended up in tears. It was heartbreaking. He clearly abuses his power and treats employees with no respect.
As for the food: honestly, it tasted no better than supermarket curry—maybe worse—but cost five times the price. The bread was fresh and warm, which was probably the best part. The chicken curries had tough, flavorless meat, and there wasn’t even a single red-meat curry on the menu. Considering the owner’s stingy attitude, the heavy vegetarian menu felt more like cost-cutting than authentic Indian culture.
Within just 2–3 km, I’ve eaten far tastier curries for one-third of the price. The restaurant looked nice inside, but it’s not worth ruining your mood just to deal with such an arrogant manager.
If you only care about taking photos or don’t mind ignoring rude behavior, go ahead. But personally, I don’t think a place that shows no respect for basic human values...
Read moreI had been with my Japanese friend for lunch on Saturday.
Food - below average Service - PATHETIC
I would rate in negative if possible.
Even as an Indian person, the service is horrible and ridiculous. I can only imagine the horror of Japanese. The owner ( person with suit) was pompous loud and irritating.
He was mentioning “あなた” to my Japanese colleague and it was NOT okay.
He forcefully changed the table for a couple of ladies next to us when they were having their drink midway. He took the lassi glass and just placed in another table. The shock on their faces when he did this.
There were two sweet old ladies who shared the table with us and they were deciding their order. The owner tried to push his choice down their throats. Had to intervene and explain that they will decide by themselves. They couldn’t believe that he would address them by “あなた” as well.
He was bossing around not just his staff but also his customers. Japan is known for its excellent customer service and THIS IS NOT HOW YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS IN JAPAN.
WORST EXPERIENCE and will definitely not visit again.
PLEASE BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. There are so many negative reviews for this restaurant for a reason.
To the coat man- please do not speak Japanese if you can’t use proper or respectful terms to your...
