Dazzle — Restaurant in Tokyo

Booked a table for two @8:30pm, showed and was shown to our table, place was 60% full. Guess that should’ve been sign to bounce since. Sat us at our table, took 20mins for waiter to come by n bring menu and ask if we want water. YUP 20min. It was preset menu so ordered some caviar 25g-7000Yen,first course came out. Lobster and Pork deep fried balls, tried to chew it through couldn’t so spat it out and meat was 100% raw!!!called over waiter n then manager showed up, bowed 10times n said sorry to waste ur time but we will remake it. Waited another 20mins.other food came out.Squid ink pasta, lamb chops. Ya def not Italian feel to this spot. So to sum it up, would NOT recommend for food or service. Prices are outrageous,food not what you’d expect. Decor is amazing! View are non existing, well if you like watching ppl work across the street. So ya decor gives them stars. Unfortunately found the execution of most dish’s in our 7 course with wine pairing rather underwhelming and bland.

The wine pairing was mostly obscure choices however there was some absolutely lovely choices in amongst the odd ones. There was a generous serving sizes with the wines.

Food wise the shining light was the steak, but that’s more to do with the quality of the produce rather than the compilation of the meal. Two very well traveled food enthusiasts unfortunately left dinner feeling the 44,000 jpy cost was better spent at a shot bar and a bowl of Ramen.

Staff were great , the visual aspects of the venue was nice. Just the atmosphere was dead , less then 1/4 full and just an executing place to be.

Hopefully this is a one off, as the reviews led us to expect a really enjoyable perfectly executed...

The rating could be higher if they make some changes. First of all it is NEVER acceptable to print prices on the menu then in sneaky print at the bottom say oh btw, add an extra 20% to everything. I am fine with paying high prices, it's dishonestly I can't stand.

Also they left us just sitting there for about 10 mins with no menu nor even water. They make some above average food but get the very basics completely wrong. The actual food has some bold flavours but lacks consistency. The desert for example had an amazing source however this was paired with a cake that seemed store bought or at least not fresh. It's a tale of highs and lows, for the price I expect...
