I came here after being turned away by one of their competitors for having a foreign passport. I was expecting to get turned away here as well but was happily surprised when they allowed me to register and get a booth anyway. I had just arrived in Ikebukuro with a night bus and just wanted a few more hours of sleep. There was a hiccup with the signup (the tablet didn’t work), but other than that everything was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn’t speak any English when I was there and I can’t say if they have any English speaking staff so keep that in mind if you don’t speak Japanese. The booth itself is big, roomy and clean and you get free drinks. My only complaint is that the lights above the booths are a little bit too bright which makes it harder to fall asleep. I’d recommend bringing an eye mask to block out the light if that is a bother to you. The AC also felt really cold after a while. You can rent a blanket from the reception though if needed. There are also showers available and you can rent or buy pretty much anything you could possibly need for your stay. I stayed for 3 hours (6.30-9.30am) and paid a little less than 1500 yen. If I understand correctly, it is even cheaper if you use their app but I was too tired to bother with it so I just got the card instead. I will definitely be back the next time I need a few hours of sleep....

Pros: close to Ikebukuro station (4 minutes walking) lots of vending machines for free drinks
Cons: no room key. You have to use the safe. Inconvenient when you go to the restroom multiple times. poor explanation by the staff. Maybe you have to leave a deposit if you want to go out to buy snacks? One of the female workers was yelling at me when I tried to go into the elevator to go to the convenience store, so I just went back to the room. Maybe they thought I was trying to leave without paying? Why don’t you just provide keys? The male staff at check out seemed friendlier and more competent. confusing layout with the elevators and stairs the “private” rooms are not private. The ceilings are open. I don’t think calls are allowed, so it’s pointless as a coworking space. no soundproofing. Someone was snoring when...
