For the price, we can say the atmosphere of the cafƩ isn't worth it, compared to other bigger and more spacious cafƩs in Tokyo. We weren't able to relax here at all, as they only had one booth and the rest are counter seats. Our seats were situated along the entryway, which made it more cramped. We wanted to leave as fast as possible so we wouldn't block the other customers coming in. Everything was so small, even their bathroom and washing area, that our whole stay became very uncomfortable.
As for the food, it was good enough for the price. I didn't like their pudding's hard texture and strong-tasting sauce, but my husband preferred it more. Personally, I prefer the kind of pudding that melts in your mouth, with a sauce that doesn't overpower the taste of the egg. The cream was top-notch though.
The red bean scone was perfect. The crunchiness of the scone was just right and the saltiness of the butter pairs well with the red bean.
The cafƩ latte was good and picture-worthy, although it was served lukewarm.
Overall, aside from the small layout, everything else was satisfactory. The staff did a great job and they were also very nice and friendly.
If we come back, we will just order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe breakfast sandwiches here are insane. Some of the best biscuits/scones. I usually get takeout because the inside is very small so thereās almost never anywhere to sit, but when you can sit, itās a nice interior. Sitting in requires ordering a drink, the cheapest of which is around Ā„500. I got a cold brew and it was a very fruity/sour blend. You have to ask for and meat (bacon or sausage) on the standard breakfast sandwich - a small upcharge - and weāve forgotten to ask multiple times - it would be nice if they asked when you order. Thereās 4 or 5 February cafes (of different names and with slightly different offerings) in Asakusa and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of the waitresses was very rude to me when I asked her what was the current queue number, and she just said āI donāt knowā and asked me to wait outside. After I waited for a while for her to finish what she was doing, she then asked me to check the screen myself without telling me how to check. I told her that she was very rude to her customer here and I just left without buying anything from the shop. I saw the pricing and the scones are quite expensive, Yen550 for a small scone with red beans and butter. The shop is very small that can accommodate abt 6 people. Not very nice ambience to enjoy your coffee if thatās what you are...
