Found this place as it is close to our hotel. Got the standard bowl for 650¥ and added extra noodles for 150¥ and an egg for ¥100. The noodles were chewy and nicely cooked. The broth has a rich pork flavour that wasn't too fatty. The char siu was okay, nothing bad to say about it. When I was almost done my noodles, the cook brought me my extra noodles in a strainer and added it to the soup. This is a small, no frills noodle shop. I only knew a few simple words in Japanese so they knew I was a foreigner, even though I am Asian, but the service was prompt and polite (so I am not sure what a previous poster was talking about when they said they were mistreated because they were foreigners). I just pointed to what I wanted to order, as the menu had both English and pictures on it. The bill came to 900¥ and would be considered a good deal in Tokyo and an even better deal...

Years ago on a cold autumn night, I decided to skip the ichiran outlet near the asakusa station and decided to come here for the ramen instead. And boy, i was not disappointed. The broth is flavourful and portion was generous for the amnt paid. Will definitely come back again if I ever come by this place again.

Came back here early Feb this year, super freezing cold weather. But still, for a meager cost, it still is a good proper ramen place that I would brave the freezing weather for. The char shu pork is rolled properly. Unlike a popular red one franchise down the road(near the station) that charges almost double the amount here and the char shu there had turned into a piece of processed...

If I have a choice, I'd rather go elsewhere. This is a ramen noodle place. They specialize in the tonkotsu variety. The milky colored soup is really good, but not any better than other tonkotsu shops. It's tough to find bad tonkotsu. They're all pretty good. Place looked like it's big with the tourist crowd although tough to see why. They have multi language menu. Is that why? Price is on the steep side as that is the norm around this touristy area. Staff is friendly enough but service is slow and inefficient. Cash only. So in summary, ok food, pricey, and poor service. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a tourist trap, but not the...

If you are a huge fan of ramen, this is the right place to go. Food: I ordered standard ramen and it was really good. Unlike many other traditional ramen soup that are very salty, this one is very balanced with smoothness and richness. As I enjoy having the ramen soup, I found it particular delicious. The pork was also good too. Noodle is slightly thick which just goes well with my appetite. Location: Easy to get as it’s located at the intersection. Environment: Clean with regular Jap style. Staff: Friendly and attentive. Price:650 JPY per bowl. Overall: Highly recommend it!

I guess that this will be one of not many review made by a guy from Europe 🙂 We went there quite late. A combination of our (very basic) Japanese and (decent) English was enough to communicate with the staff members. Although we were the only non-japanese customers there, we did feel quite welcomed. After spending 3 weeks in Japan and eating ramen in different locations including a shop with Michelin star I have to say that the hakata tonkotsu ramen in Urinbo was my favourite. To the personnel of Urinbo - thank you very much for having us. It was a pleasure Umai 😁
