Room is clean, but staff is rude ☹️. Main issue, they do not have any common area to sit whether inside the lobby, nor benches outside of the hotel, nor balconies ☹️☹️☹️ I booked a room with my dad & he injured his arm & slept early, but my work was in the U.S, so because of the time zone difference, I had to stay up late to process some work. However, I cannot find any area to sit outside my room angry 😡 They locked up the coffee room at night despite so many guests staying up late & still very active at night (just like me). I then tried to sit in one of the open small balcony but their staff came right up to pull me out 😠 I then asked where can I sit because the only place left was the laundry room & people have to come in & out to wash their clothes, so I don’t want to take up their space + it was too noisy for work. I then ask if I can sit in a hidden corner by the hallway but then he said I can only sit 10 minutes because all other guests were sleeping???? (i already explained I only need to be oon email & my phone, no phone calls, no talking, not even pulling in & put any charger or my laptop, but they still had such a confused policy…???? 😤 well it he’s worry about it noises, the laundry room with the guests coming in & out are much noisier. Facilities seem nice but I’ll probably never come back again 😤😤😤 P.S: It was about 12 midnight, and I’m a young female so I wouldn’t want to walk outside to find a cafe. It just was so unsafe. Plus no quiet coffee really opened anyway, only bars or restaurants. I ended up sitting on the floor of the laundry room with people...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed at Tosei Hotel Cocone Asakusa for five nights, and we had an amazing experience. The hotel felt warm and homey, with a fantastic location near the shrine and shopping areas, perfect for exploring Asakusa. The staff was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and professional throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Satoru-san, who went above and beyond when I had an unexpected allergic reaction after dinner. The reaction started when we returned to the hotel, and when we approached the front desk asking them to call emergency services, he responded with immediate concern and professionalism. Satoru-san helped translate for me when the paramedics arrived and ensured we had clear directions for a taxi back from the hospital, as we were leaving late at night. His kindness and attentiveness made a stressful situation so much easier to handle.
Beyond that, the staff was always thoughtful, even asking when we would like our room cleaned since we were staying for multiple nights. We were celebrating my partner's birthday in Japan and the staff even put a birthday message for my partner on screen when we arrived at our room. On our check out day, we asked to leave our bags until our departure time as we had an evening flight, and the staff was so kind to hold it for us until we came back to the hotel to pick them up. These small but meaningful details truly made us feel cared for.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming hotel in Asakusa with exceptional service, this is the place to stay. We will...
Read moreEverything about the hotel for the budget we paid for was good. With an exception of one particular male counter staff who dampened my Tokyo experience slightly. I came back around 1130am thinking check out time was 12noon. The staff told me quite sternly and without any smile that I need to pay extra jpy 2200 for overtime. I politely explained in simple English that during check in ,I reiterated to another check in staff and confirmed It was 12noon. (Perhaps she also couldn't understand English too -_-). Nevertheless, I was willing to pay despite my explanation but he kept insisting I need to pay right on the spot. He kept showing me the amount in his calculator.
So I explained isn't it by 12? I'll need to collect my luggage from the room , isn't it? I could pay when I check out by 12noon. He went on to inform his other lady colleague to remember to bill me extra hours in Japanese. I don't really speak the language but could understand alittle.
That really upsets me. He refused to give me his name. I hope the hotel can look into English speaking staff as this hotel has many foreigners...
