I am fairly new to the massage world as it’s very expensive back home.
I had no idea what to expect and it all exceeded my expectations greatly.
I am traveling for the first time by myself and this was a great choice for me.
I have been so stressed and anxious these past few days and REALLY needed to relax and just feel taken care of.
I chose thai massage and oil massage where I opted for the Jasmine oil as it’s my favorite scent. (Lightly floral and sweet)
One can tell them if they’re too hard or too light pressure wise.
You are placed in a room behind a curtain and will have to fully undress. You will be given disposable underwear and a comfortable garment to wear.
Thai massage was like being on an ocean carried by waves. It started fairly lightly. I was rocked back from side to side gently as the masseuse pressed on my body.
I am an artist and I might not have the best posture. This really did something for my neck and shoulders. The use of elbows and body weight was JUST what I needed.
Normally I am EXTREMELY ticklish, but this didn’t bother me much at all. She was very professional.
The oil massage started with the feet and worked up all the way to my head.
You have to be comfortable being in a stage of undress. You will have a blanket to cover yourself with all the time though so it’s all fine.
Different from my previous experience with massage they do a bit of stretching which was a pleasant surprise. A lil painful, but never TOO much. Just the perfect amount of stretching which.
She was very caring and asked me several times if I was okay. I felt very taken care of and warmly recommend these to anyone who wants to treat themselves or who might feel alone.
Cheers...
Read moreMy husband and I found this spa on google and the reviews were spectacular. We arrived without a reservation and they were able to book us in for 90 minutes - 1hr massage and 30min foot massage. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and felt instantly relaxed. We were given water and a warm towel to refresh ourselves before the massage. The room felt very zen and was extremely relaxing. We were actually in separated rooms separated by a curtain. We were given a soft pair of pajama like clothing to wear.
The therapist was very professional and my body just melted into the massage. I can honestly say I have never had a better massage. At one point someone was massaging my back while someone else was massaging my feet - heaven!
At the end we were given hot tea and we were able to relax and take our time before leaving. We highly recommend Rung Vipa for Thai Massage. It was so good that we will be booking another one before we leave for Kyoto.
I think we got lucky with walking in without an appointment - I would recommend making a reservation so you don’t miss out on this...
Read moreMy husband and I chanced upon this FANTASTIC massage place and we are so grateful we did! After days of lots of walking and exploring, the lovely ladies gave our tired and aching muscles so much TLC. The amazing service started from when we walked in, with a hot towel and some cold tea, and was exceptional all the way through to the end of the massage experience. Not only were the ladies kind and attentive, especially knowing that we were here on our honeymoon, but the massage itself was absolutely top notch! We'd absolutely return again the next time we're in Tokyo! The cherry on top was the lovely staff member who came running after us (we thought we'd forgotten our belongings!) just so she could pass us a couple of cold drinks she'd picked up from the store.
Best experience ever! Do yourselves a favour and check out this gorgeous...
