The Coolest Retro-Themed Bar in Tokyo!

If you're a fan of retro video games, this bar is an absolute must-visit. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm welcome, and a Gameboy and classic games to dive into! The whole concept is brilliantly nostalgic, and the attention to detail really enhances the experience.

We came for drinks, and the craft beer selection didn’t disappoint. While we didn't try the food, the drinks alone were worth it. The staff was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

This place is heaven for retro game lovers, but if you're not into that scene, the theme might not resonate as much. For me, though, it was hands down the coolest bar I've ever been to! Highly recommend for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a unique and...

Game bar A-Button is a nostalgia trip into memory lane. A small bar hidden away in the nearby vicinity of Akihabara, this place is fille from the bottom up with rare game hardware, signed artworks by some of the industries bigger names and lots of interesting treasures.

Any gamer will find something that speaks to their heart at this location. The owner is very nice and has a deep knowledge of the items inside and their history.

As for drinks and food, there is a nice assortment of high quality beers, whiskey and other spirits and snacks for drinking such as japanese pickles and smaller foods.

You are also allowed and even encouraged to take photos of anything you want inside the bar. Something that is pretty rare in other locations. I highly...

Cozy and fun little bar filled with nerdy nostalgia that’ll make you reminisce about the Anime and Video Games you grew up with.

It’s definitely going to be a tight fit with a big party of average—and not-so-average—sized Americans, but that’s to be expected at a small local izakaya tucked away in the narrow alleyways of Tokyo.

There’s a steady stream of video game music (MIDI madness!), tasty local brews (available in half pours or full pints), and bar food ranging from simple snacks like beef jerky and pickles to unique options like karaage or pastrami duck (the winner of the night).

And yes—everyone gets a Game Boy with unlimited vintage cartridges to play to their...
