Trying Abura Soba for the first time in Japan (second time overall after the Melbourne branch), and it did not disappoint. The noodles were cooked perfectly — bouncy, not too chewy, and the thickness was just right. The bowl came with a variety of toppings, and while nothing individually stood out, everything worked well together.

The experience was fun — watching everyone add their own oils, sauces, and onions to suit their taste. I followed the person next to me, and it worked perfectly! The layout of the restaurant is really cool, and the endless topping combinations make each bowl personal and creative. I went with a small, which was the perfect portion, though I could have easily gone for a large.

The most delicious noodles on Earth. We visited 3 times when we were in Tokyo, and previously had it in Los Angeles during a pop up. Please open in LA! We love the food so much and miss it when we are not in Japan. Get all the toppings ! Be sure to also try the "メの追い飯" at the end. It's extra rice and broth to make a new meal for your leftovers sauce and toppings.
