Don’t bother lol, especially if you’re a traveler that’s not fluent in Japanese. It’s a great opportunity for them to scam you. Came in, ordered and specially physically pointed out the dish to the waiter. The food came out and it looked fine. Once it was time to pay, I was charged more than I had originally ordered. When asked, they admitted they had made the mistake of sending out the wrong dish and therefore charged me for a different dish. Theses dishes look the same but are different cuts of meat so if it’s your first time, it’s difficult to distinguish the difference. I basically was told that I had to pay the price for their mistake.

There are many wonderful options around the train station from ramen, udon, tempera. Be wise and learn from my mistakes. I really wanted to love this place but feeling scammed has made me feel...

Wow what a great shopping and eating area. Very crowded but worth the chance to visit a great train shopping mall. Even has a Liquor store where you can sample a $1-$2 charge for 10ml named Hasegawa's. They have 2 stores but the one that is small and narrow has the tastings. Can only try 5...

つい先日も "東京駅" で目的地が把握出来なく、交番で目的地までの場所を訪ねながら雑談していると ｢どちらから来られたんですか？｣ と聞かれ ｢いえ地元です｣ と回答するとお互いに顔を見て吹き出してしまった･･･ というよりは笑われた･･･ 相変わらずのマヌケぶりを披露してしまったが、皆さんも迷子には気を付けましょ～ね！

さて、ここは "東京駅" "八重洲口" にある "グランルーフ" 。2007年11月に完成した東京駅の象徴ともいえる "グラントウキョウ" の "northタワー" と "southタワー" との間に造られた4階建ての歩行者用デッキである。

この "グランルーフ" は外から見ると帆船の帆をイメージした外観が特徴的であり、その立体的でダイナミックかつ質実剛健なデザインは "グラントウキョウ" のツインタワーと併せて、まさに東京の玄関口と呼ぶに相応しい佇まいであり、2020年に行われる "東京オリンピック" に向けてこれからの東京のステータスシンボルとなる事であろう。

"グラントウキョウ" が完成して早くも10年近くが経過し、東京駅の八重洲口も以前とは随分と変わり、そして東京駅周辺は都市開発が今もなお進んでいる。また、ここ八重洲は丸の内の歴史有る赤煉瓦造りの外観とはうって変わり、現代風のお洒落な造りとなり、１つの駅に対照的な２つの顔の雰囲気が有るところも東京駅の魅力である。

地下のレストラン街は他の地下施設とも全て繋がっており、何処へ移動するにもわざわざ地上に出る必要が無いので非常に便利である。また、東京駅という場所柄、時間を問わず人の往来が多く常に活気が有り、買い物から食事まで幅広く可能である。特に "グランルーフ" ...
