I had my hair done at Room 806 in late July 2025. I must admit it was my first time and the owner had some communication mishaps at first. We had to reschedule my appointment as a result. Once I got a seat with a stylist though, I received the best hairstyle of my whole time in Japan (where I lived for three years). I can guarantee that the owner and stylists care deeply about good quality service and won't disappoint. The vibe of the shop is great for anyone who is black or interested in black/African culture. The staff are friendly and diverse. The shop offers good quality hair products for purchase, which I did buy. If you have afro-textured hair, I can't recommend this shop enough.

I thought getting a blowout would be my best bet since I would be traveling for two weeks and it was the best decision I made. Visiting the salon made me feel right at home. The owner and Iko (my stylist) were there and they were so warm and welcoming the entire time. I left looking like a million bucks and feeling it too. If you’re questioning whether or not to go, my answer is go, go, go!!!
