Had the worst experience in Japan for a ramen. The staff were not friendly at all, I can understand ramen place especially 'high-rated' ones like this can be stressful, but banging on cups and menu sheets right on the counters in front of customers are truly a head down especially here in Japan. Waited for my ramen for about 20mins, while others came after me were served before me, right next to me, but with no explanations. So the service was totally a mess. A lot of tourists come visit for the rate and reviews, but it's not worth coming especially when it has to queue. The dandan ramen as in 'Chinese style', was totally fusion by Japanese, which is soybean sauce base soup with a dash of hot sauce. And it's greasy ah. So basically has no umami inside of it. And last but not least, since they only accept cash, which is apparently they will have 'mistakes', and charge you another 200yen because, who knows why. Considering this first visit experience, it will probably be the only visit for me. Left me confused where those rates and reviews came from??

I would say a very solid simplistic dan-dan noodle. It’s not extremely seasoned or fancy, it’s simply good. I would recommend to anyone looking for a classic Szechuan dan-dan noodle soup. Personally I prefer a more seasoned and spicy dan-dan but, what I really liked about this soup is the thick cuts of chashu. I order the だあろうだんだんめん 太肉坦々麺 (daarou dan-dan men) and the pork chashu was so juicy and thick! Very good. Finally the real highlight was the shumai (Siu Mai)!!! The shumai is so flavorful, I would definitely order some if you come to this shop. In the end, this shop serves a very good dan-dan noodle with delicious shumai. Usually the wait isn’t too long and they have plenty of seats. Also, free rice and takuan (pickled daikon)! Cash only 💵

Had the Pork Ribs Tantanmen (1000yen) and the Gyoza (980yen). It's a rather unique style of Tantanmen with a light broth and a strong sesame taste. That being said, the taste was probably too light for me and not flavourful enough for my personal liking. The pork rib was pretty nice, similar to the Taiwanese style that you would find on their fried rice or la mian. The gyoza, rather pricey for 5 pieces, were definitely huge and filling, but also tasted rather average. Perhaps the main pull of the shop is the free-flow of rice that you can order? I passed on the rice since we ordered a lot, but it may perhaps go well with the Tantanmen.

This place offers you some great dan dan men(some may call it tan tan men) it comes with a small bowl of rice(free) and pickled vegetables. Noodles are perfectly cooked, the flavor of the broth is awesome, the chashu(slices pork) is amazing, melt in your mouth. I also tried their gyoza, a bit expensive but they were tasty. I think you should get the ramen with the 3 slices of chashu instead of the gyoza. I went there once for diner and once for lunch, both times I had to wait to be seated but the wait wasn't long.

Easily the best ramen I’ve had. There was a bit of a wait when my party went for lunch at around 1 pm, but we got in by about 15 minutes. The store itself is not very big but you can feel the aura once you step inside. We ordered #5 ramen, #12 cold noodle, and #14 gyoza. The ramen was incredible, the richness of the pork flavor and the noodles itself was like no other. The cold noodle was very firm but I liked the sauce. Gyoza was delicious as well. Impeccable service, this is a must try if you enjoy ramen.
