I rarely write reviews, but this place was so bad I felt I had to say something. It’s honestly a tourist trap. I’m Japanese, and I couldn’t help but notice that there were barely any Japanese customers—probably because no one with normal taste buds would come back here.
The positive reviews seem to be from people who’ve never had proper gyoza before. The only reason this place is still in business is its location and the steady stream of unsuspecting tourists.
First off, we literally saw a cockroach on the wall, and a staff member had to come kill it. Not exactly what you want to see while eating.
As for the food—it was terrible. We tried several kinds of gyoza, and all of them were completely bland and flavorless. Honestly the worst gyoza I’ve ever had. You’d get better food at a family restaurant or even from frozen gyoza you can find in Europe. That says a lot.
To top it all off, there was this grating music looping nonstop, which just added to the unpleasant atmosphere.
Avoid this place. There are way better options literally...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience here. We ordered two vegan dishes, clearly listed as vegan on the menu. However, one of them (the “Fried Vegan Gyoza with Chinese sauce”) turned out NOT to be vegan. After we asked, the chef came out and confirmed it himself.
This is completely unacceptable – labeling a dish as vegan when it actually isn’t is misleading and disrespectful. For people with dietary restrictions or ethical reasons, this is not only frustrating but also potentially harmful.
On top of that, communication was terrible. In such a central, touristy area, the staff couldn’t even say basic words in English. Everything is done through an app because they simply can’t communicate with customers directly. Instead of being honest and clear from the start, they left us feeling deceived.
If you care about vegan or vegetarian food, or simply expect basic honesty and service, I strongly recommend...
