Menya Oto Ningyōchō — Restaurant in Tokyo

We stumbled onto this little shop on a cold afternoon. It was the perfect thing to warm us up.

I got the Tsukemen and made the mistake of ordering the "rich" broth instead of the normal, but that is on me instead of the restaurant. It was much richer than I expected but it can be thinned out with the provided broth. Other than that my Tsukemen was exactly what I wanted. The soup was thick and clung to the noodles. The noodles had a good chew and bite. The broth was warming with chunks of meat. Absolutely delightful.

My husband really enjoyed the ramen, he could not stop going on about how savoury and flavourful his soup was without being overwhelming.

The space is small maybe only about 8-10 people.You order via a kiosk that is in Japanese only but a translation app...

I came here for lunch on a cold day when I was hungry. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I ordered the deluxe noodles for 1280 yen. It came with char siew, another kind of pork, a whole egg (2 halves), menma, and garnish.

The soup broth is strongly flavored and is rich (not something I can do often). I like the combo of fish and pork and it works well.

This may be one of my favorites...

Ottima cucina e personale super disponibile

Siamo entrati in questo ristorante quasi per sbaglio dato che dalla strada principale non si notava. Siamo stati subito accolti da una cameriera che, nonostante le pochissime conoscenze di inglese, ci ha aiutato a tradurre i vari piatti disponibili e a ordinare sul tablet presente subito sulla destra. Dopo aver pagato ci ha fatti accomodare al bancone dove ci ha offerto un asciugamano caldo e un bavaglino ciascuno (probabilmente intuendo che ci sarebbe servito per non sporcarci). Dopo un tempo d'attesa piuttosto breve ci ha portato i nostri ramen: io normale al pollo (quindi senza l'uovo), gli altri completo con il pollo (quindi anche con l'uovo), completo con il pesce e con le sardine. I piatti ci sono piaciuti moltissimo, erano molto gustosi e le porzioni più che abbondanti. Il locale è molto carino e ha dimensioni abbastanza ridotte, si può mangiare solo al bancone. Mi sento di consigliare questo posto per l'ottima qualità del cibo, la buona proporzione qualità - prezzo e la gentilezza e disponibilità del personale, che benché non sapesse quasi per niente l'inglese si è fatto capire e si è...
