Tsukemen... throughout my lifetime has been hit or miss, mostly miss, so I was hesitant to order it over the soup variety BUT I am glad I did because I enjoyed this tsukemen so much I felt sad that I had only discovered something so delicious on my last day in Tokyo. The noodles were perfection, thick, golden, chewy...every bite was euphoric to say the least. The dipping broth had an exemplary texture, it was thick but not gluggy, overpowering or salty but rather so silky it embraced the noodles in holy matrimony, imparted a rich umami flavor that kept me entranced in its deliciousness. Hats off to the gentleman who catered for this small eatery (10-12 seats around the counter I think) manned the bar, the cooking, the prep, the cleaning and the hosting solo. The ramen is reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. The broth is very flavorful, well-balanced, and not overly oily.
