Mother India Mitsukoshimae — Restaurant in Tokyo

My father and I came here on his last night in Tokyo. The service was lovely and warm. The young gentleman had some banter and we had some delicious beer. He recommended me the Tikka Masala which was honestly 10/10. The curry was gorgeous and thick and the texture was great with some tiny garnish of ginger, chilli and spring onion. My father also said his was the best of his life. I eat Indian twice a week and have spent time India and truly I was in awe of the taste. I visited this restaurant recently for lunch and I felt that may be the restaurant catered Indian food with Japanese flavours so will not want to visit again. The service was quick and good, but despite asking for maximum spice level, the food was still bland. The veg meal did have a decent number of options to full up your stomach, however the taste didn't live up to the hype! I ordered veg thali and masala tea, sadly none of them lived up to the mark for indian palates! Wish they had more veg options...
