Nagoya Cochin Yakitori Tokyo Ichio Tokyo Iccho — Restaurant in Tokyo

Low value for money in my opinion. Oyakodon was good, the chicken was lightly barbequed on the outside so it adds more flavours to the meat. The yakitori sticks were alright, vegetables was very charred. The crispy chicken wings without the salt and lemon had no taste whatsoever.

We paid a price of about 3300yen per person and I think there’s definitely better restaurants in the area. Given the convenience of it being in the station itself, most customers are just looking for a quick meal during their commute.

Wouldn’t really recommend travelling here just to eat at...

It appears that they do not welcome foreigners here. We were waiting in line, the Japanese people in front of us were led into the restaurant, when it was our turn, the lady told us “no seats”. I was a bit confused and thought she was asking if we had a reservation. She repeated “no seats” several times and I finally got it that she wanted us to leave. This is a special Chicken restaurant. Cochin chicken is a free range chicken. The chicken meat is very chewy which is a different experience of eating chicken. Inside the Nagoya famous dish, Oyakodon, the chicken pieces are charcoal grilled with nice smoke favour! The Yakitori stews are well made.
