While in Asakusa, my wife and I chose this ramen restaurant due to its unique offering of spicy miso ramen and its solid score on Tabelog. We ordered two bowls of spicy miso ramen via the vending machine in the front and with the help of the proprietor. The ramen here ended up being our favorite of our entire Japan trip. The strong miso backbone, subtle spicy kick, and smoky flavor from freshly stir fried bean spouts and pork led to an immensely flavorful bowl of ramen.

Special mention should be made of the kind service here. The proprietor, despite limited English skills, made sure we felt welcome, tried his best to explain the menu, and ensured we enjoyed our bowls of ramen optimally. His warmth was very memorable and we felt very well taken care of.

Overall, a worthy stop for ramen in Asakusa with excellent...

In short: average food and surprisingly bad service.

The ordering process was chaotic. Both I and a Japanese guy were confused, and instead of helping, the staff yelled at us. While this was happening, three people cut the line and the staff did nothing.

To make it worse, everyone around me got a raw egg except me. If it's supposed to be free, I hope the shop explains why I was treated differently. I’ve been in Japan for a month and have never been treated this harshly anywhere else.

The ramen was extremely average and overpriced. If you’re in the area, go to Ramen Kai or Genraku instead, better ramen and infinitely...

I love me some miso ramen and when I heard about this place (thanks 5amRamen!), I knew I had to try it. They have a regular miso and a spicy miso option, so I went with the spicy version (they also have a tsukemen I want to try). The soup was fabulous and I honestly wanted to drink the whole bowl. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the pork was fantastic, and the boiled egg delicious. I got a free raw egg which I added to some rice which was a nice complement to the ramen. The service was good too. It’s definitely on my favorites list and I highly recommend...
