The staff here are so welcoming and polite and speak good English! There are 2 lifts in this hotel. The breakfast buffet is lovely, serving cereals, pastries, toast, different jams and marmalades, egg, ham and cheese, desserts and fruit. There is a main dish they will serve each morning also that changes daily, we got eggs Benedict. The TV in the room will also tell you if there is congestion in the breakfast room as it is quite small which is helpful! The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the nearest tube station. The rooms are of a good size and there is a separate toilet and bathroom which adjoin via a door (you open a sliding door and walk into the toilet room, then another door separates the shower room. There was a bath and a separate shower head in the bathroom with a stool and stylish bucket if you wish to shower the traditional Japanese way. The soaps and shampoos were lovely, and they had toothbrushes, toothpicks, ear buds, razors, and soaps that were complimentary too! There is a hairdryer, iron, and kettle in the room. A fridge which they stock with water each day, and a safe. there's also a smartphone docked in the room so you can view places of interest around the hotel which I'd not seen elsewhere before! There arenso many power sockets in the room; 3 by the bed including the usb port, 4 at the end of the bed, 2 under the tv! I bought an extension lead as I was worried there wouldn't be enough to charge my cameras, phones, and power packs, but there was more than enough! I did only bring 2 japanese convertor plugs however, so the extension lead did come in handy! My only gripe is that the duvet cover always separated from the duvet within, maybe the bed sheets need to remain tucked in but for me i like it free from the mattress. But they also provide a thin sheet which we used too. There is a small sofa and table that you can eat at, blackout blinds, and a thin mesh blind if you want to let light in a bit. There is a phone in the room. The hotel was so lovely, every time you left or entered the building the staff welcomed you and wished you a nice day in both Japanese and English. You need your keycard to access the building between midnight and 6am for security reasons, and the area is very safe and we walked around multiple times at night. There is a utilities room on the 2nd floor, with a microwave with instructions, a vending machine, 2 washer/dryers, and an ince machine! Would 100% stay here again! Thank you Hotel...
Read moreIncredibly frustrating and unacceptable customer service. The morning shift staff on November 19, 2024 was very welcoming and provided accurate information on how to send luggage to the airport via Yamato. They informed me that I could drop off my luggage at any time that day. However, when I attempted to drop it off in the evening, the night shift staff member coldly told me that all the information I received earlier was incorrect.
She also criticized various aspects of how I handled the process, including saying that I shouldn’t have used a cardboard box and questioning whether Yamato would even accept it. I immediately realized something was off: the cardboard box I was using was purchased directly from the front desk and was a Yamato-branded box. If Yamato doesn’t accept cardboard boxes, why would this hotel’s front desk sell them to guests?
I later discovered that she was lying simply because she didn’t want to handle the task. This unexpected issue completely disrupted my plans, causing significant problems for my subsequent itinerary. To save time, I chose not to argue and rushed to the nearest Yamato office. Fortunately, I managed to drop off the package just before they closed.
As it turned out, the information provided by the Yamato staff aligned perfectly with what the helpful morning shift member had told me. This confirmed that the night shift staff member deliberately lied to me. I felt deceived and disrespected.
After returning, I requested to speak with the person in charge of the shift. However, they continued to treat me like a fool. They first checked my check-out date and then claimed that their manager wouldn’t be available until after I left, essentially piling one lie on top of another. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and...
Read moreThis was our first trip to Tokyo, Japan. After reading many positive reviews, we finally decided to stay at this hotel—and it truly lived up to the praise. We definitely made the right choice.Although the room wasn’t very spacious, it was more than sufficient for the two of us. It felt cozy and comfortable, and the bed was especially pleasant to sleep on. The double bed was slightly smaller than standard, but it suited us just fine since we are both petite. As mentioned in many reviews, the bathroom features a separate wet and dry area, which was excellent. It’s a typical Japanese-sized bathroom, but slightly roomier than most, allowing enough space to move around comfortably—again, ideal for our smaller frames. We especially loved the bathtub; it was relaxing, and the water pressure was strong and soothing. Our room even had a window view of the beautiful Tokyo Skytree, which looked stunning at night—perfect for couples. The hotel is conveniently located near popular tourist attractions, all within walking distance. Most of the hotel staff speak Chinese, which was a huge relief for us, especially as first-time visitors unfamiliar with the Japanese language. We would particularly like to thank Ms. He, a trainee according to her name tag, for her exceptional assistance. We were heading to Mt. Fuji the next day and were unsure how to contact the hotel there to arrange a shuttle service due to the language barrier. Upon learning this, Ms. He immediately searched for the contact information online and even made the call for us, solving our problem efficiently. We only stayed one night at this hotel as we continued our journey to Mt. Fuji the next day, but if we return to Tokyo in the future, we will definitely choose...
