The haircut master use a device to communicate with foreigners, so you will have no problem to express your wishes. The old haircut chair is awsome and the place is a perfect place to make forever memories. The ATTENTION for details is mind blowing, the master will take infinite time to achieve perfection. The MASSAGE AT THE END IS SO MUCH FUN and will make you at ease. Master will even wash your hair at the end in order for you to not have residual hair. If you kind enough you will even get a present, but this, is not for everyone ;)

The barber was so attentive and spent so much time there that I actually felt like I was taking advantage of them! If you visit here, please give them omiyage (a souvenir) to show your appreciation, since in Japan they don't accept (monetary) tips. You don't get service like this in America, and certainly this price.

Needed a haircut and happened to walk into Sugatami as it was right opposite our hotel. Little did I know I was in for one of the best barbershop experiences I've ever had, anywhere! The haircut turned out amazing especially considering I really had no idea what I wanted and just told him I wanted a haircut and maybe some colour. Shampoo, cut, colour, shave and eyebrow trim were all included in the price (which was half of what they were charging in one of the salons at ROX) and were all done exceptionally by Tanaka-San and his assistant. It's easy to see the immense amount of experience Tanaka-San has and equally the passion he still has, spending a good 2 hours on my hair. As a foreigner I doubt you'd get a better experience anywhere else. Highly, highly...
