I left this place feeling icky. We did another animal experience and it was such a good experience but this one left me uneasy. The owls were beautiful but it smelled awful in there, there was poop everywhere and one of the staff members was very rude. Some of the owls looked like they had eye infections so health was a concern. There were a lot of rules which included a trio of owls that we were not allowed to touch which is completely understandable but they were not marked well and I was confused. They had pictures of them in a folder but they had a lot that looked similar and they were supposedly marked with tags but the tags were not visible. I asked the worker and she came in and angrily pointed out the owls but it was incredibly rude. She didn’t speak English at all so that may have caused some frustration for her but I think they should have a better system for us to identify the unhappy owls. We paid for an hour and ended up only staying 30 minutes. And I know this is a sensitive topic but the language barrier was quite tough, I would imagine that 99 percent of the people coming in are tourist and a lot of those speak some English so that may help...
Read moreThis was easy to find. It’s a small animal cafe. It’s about 2000 yen for an hour. You can pet the owls with two fingers but only certain ones. The ones that are off limits are the temperamental ones, but we saw some other tourists that were not following the rules. You also get a drink with your admission. There are also other animals that you can pet and hold. They’re in the cages in the front. We paid an extra 300 yen to have the owl of our choice perch on our dominant arm. There is no time limit for that, you just tell the staff when you’re finished. Other reviewers said the staff was rude but that is a lie. The staff was very kind and attentive. Since the place is small, they do have people waiting outside. They can only have a certain amount of people...
Read moreYour reasonable entry fee includes a drink. You can go into a room full of owls and freely pet multiple (some are off limits because they simply don't like to be petted). You have the option to pay ¥300 yen extra for a hold of an owl and you can keep it for the entire hour if you please! There are also several small animals to hold (included in entry price) and they are lovely. The staff was super friendly and explained things clearly. She did not rush us out the door and was extremely accomodating. It is clean and the animals friendly....
