When i visit the tokyo mori tower in roppingi during one of anime exhibition, came a cross this resaturant, first impression during I walk in to this restaurant is being greet by one of their manager from Africa, who introduced me which course should I pick, so I pick the least good one, before u walk in u are going to be ask are u dine or just came for a drink, so If u just come just for a drink u are seated in the bar u might not see the view from roppongi and if u pick dinner u will get a view for it, so service was quite racist due the fact the restaurant was full of Japanese customer and I am the foreigner, so I speak Japanese fluently, they were in shocked and apologized for racist, cant believe it, why would they racist me, due the fact I am wearing a casual outfit and looked like a homeless, when I asked for a bill they were keep apologizing and give me complimentary of food and beverage for free, so I accept it and gave me a wine to take away for misjudging, the food standard, drink okay and service was racist, idk if I want to come back here again, unless they improve...
Read moreThis place is great IF you’re looking for a romantic skyline view of Tokyo, decent (good but not amazing) food, and cocktails.
But if you’re a foodie, wine lover, etc. then I’d recommend someplace else. For me the best part about this restaurant was the cocktails and the view - which were wonderful! However, I was not overly impressed by anything else: food, service, music, etc.
As a vegetarian I also wouldn’t recommend this place for people with dietary restrictions. When I called (in Japanese) and asked about vegetarian food the staff told me that though there wasn’t a “special vegetarian menu” - I could choose something from the menu and they would arrange it for me. But when I arrived and looked at the dinner menu, 3/4 main courses were meat or fish and that left only 1 option, a truffle risotto, which was good but not great.
In terms of pricing (which other reviews have mentioned) they felt normal to me. You’re paying more for the atmosphere and the view than high quality food... but it’s still...
Read moreGreat spot locationwise with amazing view and very professional English speaking service. Prices makes sense considering those elements but unfortunately the food we had in the 6 stage aptizers were definitely not up to standard. We were never more dissapointed with food anywhere here in Japan. It was presented beatufily but the flavours and textures were terrible. Only one appteizer tasted great. Two were extremely bitter and hard to swallow(sweetfish and tequila flavour shell). The rest was mediocre. Main course was fairly good and dessert was delicious. In general I think it makes more sense to try a dessert and get some coctails here. Also it is worth noting that there is a 10% service fee which some people complained about but you can read about it in the menu. Hopefully it was a matter of summer 2025 appterizers set and others will be better but I am pretty sure me and my wife would not risk spending 32000 yen(two full courses + two beers + service fee) again for something that is...
