👅 Shark Cartilage w/soup a strange texture this was. it was crunchy but also really sharp! it was really salty but the soup mellowed it out 😌
👅 Seaweed Wedges YUM. they actually call it fries on the menu but man it was delish. i am a potato lover and the wedges were perfectly crunchy and FLUFFFYYY 🦄 on the inside. the seaweed flavour was not overpowering and it was yumyum
👅 Dried Beef? (apologies i forgot but it was yummers) warm and chewy! it sort of tasted like the dried squid i used to eat as a kid. paired with japanese mayo, it was A HITTT 🥊
👅Uni Rice Ball two words… umami tsunami 🌊
👅 Fried Oysters oysters were oishi as 👍🏼 the batter wasn’t heavy and super crispy on the outside. oysters tasted like they were fresh out the ocean 🤪 super creamy and perfectly balanced with the dip 🤌🏼
👅 Fatty Salmon + Another Fish 🤣 STAR OF THE NIGHTT!! the salmon was a PHATT BOIII. melted in your mouth type of ting 🤤 the white fish was cooked perfectly as well and had a slightly bitter taste but it was still so good!!
foreigner friendly and the chef was super welcoming! it was a warm and cozy vibe 🥰

Read moreUpdate (February 2020): they moved to Shinjuku, so the location is a lot easier to find. The menu changed, but it’s still awesome! We really loved the fried puffer fish. The gyoza are still the best in Tokyo, and their drink selection continues to have something for everyone, alcoholic or otherwise. Their staff is super sweet!
November 2018: Cozy place and super sweet staff that speaks English! They have an eclectic, delicious menu. We really enjoyed the roasted duck salad and the uni butter baguette. Extensive drinks menu that includes a lovely blood orange and yogurt cocktail (pictured) and lots of sake. I really appreciated that the food menu comes with sake pairing recommendations, so if you don’t know anything about sake, the menu itself is a great resource. I tried their barley tea ice cream for dessert and I loved it! The place is about twenty seconds away from the station and super easy to find. Definitely check them out if you’re looking for good food...
Read moreHonestly the best restaurant experience of my life, the staff were all amazing and the food was some of the best I’ve had in Tokyo, the sushimi was so fresh, the gyoza and potato salad were beautifully house made. As I said the staff were the best in Tokyo, smiling and laughing the whole time. The chef is a wizard, cooking up the best food with a pan and chopsticks I’ve never seen someone cook with so little utensils and make such good food, the bar lady was lovely so positive and was so fun to talk and laugh with, and finally みずか, she is the best waitress I’ve ever experienced, she is mine and the restaurants saviour, I finally felt like I was able to communicate with someone in Tokyo City in a natural way. Her food suggestions were perfect and it was lovely talking to her, I wish her and this restaurant all the best, and I’ll probably be back tomorrow night haha!!! We...
