My partner and I were looking forward to celebrating our anniversary at Lobos Ginza this evening. We made a reservation well in advance, specifically requesting a table as we were enjoying a 3-hour course and felt a counter wouldn't be ideal for such an occasion. We also mentioned it was our anniversary and requested a special message on our dessert.
While the food itself was ok, the rest of the evening fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were surprised to see walk-in patrons seated at tables while we were directed to the counter despite our reservation. It felt dismissive of our prior request and set a disappointing tone for the evening.
Adding to the disappointment, the special message we requested for our dessert was completely missed. This detail, communicated well in advance, felt particularly important for such a significant occasion. It was a small gesture, but its absence took away from the celebratory spirit of the night.
While the staff we interacted with were courteous, the overall experience left us feeling undervalued and disregarded. Our anniversary dinner, which we had planned well in advance, ended up being less special than we had hoped.
We understand that mistakes happen, but the combination of these issues, particularly the disregard for our specific requests made well in advance, leaves us hesitant to recommend Lobos Ginza to others for occasions that require attentiveness and special...
