• Environment • Located in the basement level near Shinagawa Station, the restaurant can be a little tricky to find at first, though the signage helps guide you there. The interior is clean, comfortable, and warmly lit, providing a relaxed atmosphere after a long day of travel. Seating is well-arranged, allowing for a pleasant dining experience.
• Food • Prices were slightly on the higher side, with the cheapest meal starting around ¥1,900. My family ordered three Set A meals, which came with rice, miso soup, and a generous variety of tempura including prawns, eel, and fish. I opted for a single tempura (¥450) and a side of rice (¥250). The tempura was crisp and fresh.
• Service • The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. English menus were readily available, making ordering easy even for non-Japanese speakers. Service was efficient and polite throughout our meal.
• Conclusion • A great first meal after checking into the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. Though a bit pricey, the food quality and service made it worthwhile. Worth a visit if you’re staying nearby and craving authentic tempura in a...

I ordered at the store close to 2 pm, they cooked within 5 minutes - delicious Freshly deep fried Tempura Bento that was. You get sweet soy base sauce on the side, you can pour it over Tempura and rice just before you eat. yummy ! Reduced a star - my favorite staff team including the main chef weren't there - also heard that for dinner time they do not have the vegetable set any more (I have not myself confirmed it but heard from my family who just went there today)
Casual but can enjoy quality Tempura for very reasonable price, and come here quite often. I recommend various set menus here, my favorites are the standard Tempura set, or the Vegetable Tempura set (about 8 ~ 10 different types of seasonal fresh veggie + specially prepared (like Ume sandwiched between lotus) tempura), there is also a set called The Big Prawn set.
Each set comes with Rice, Miso-soup, sauce to dip Tempura (or you can use salt depending on the tempura piece), pickled vegetable. Tempura, freshly fried & brought to you, one or a few at a time, so you can have crisply Tempura.
If you are very hungry or like to try more unusual items, you can additionally order single item tempura. There is Ice Cream Tempura too (single item tempura would be about 300 ~ 700 yen per item).
You may notice that most of Japanese customers do not stay lengthy hour here - A few hundred years back in Edo period, Sushi, Tempura, Soba were fast food, so unless you go to super exclusive restaurants, we still tend to eat quick and go (for Tempura / Sushi /Soba), so people waiting line can usually get in.
Tempura set that comes with Sashimi is also very good value, as the quality of the little sashimi plate that comes with the set never disappointed me. I tried all of the sets mentioned here myself...
Read moreI don’t normally write reviews but felt obligated after we were turned away twice on separate days for which we eventually realized was for simply being foreigners. On the first day we tried to get a table at around 830 but were told the kitchen was closing which we didn’t think much of initially. The following day we came much earlier at approximately 630 to what was essentially an empty restaurant and told there was no space for us and it was by reservation only and we then saw other ppl...
